Adult Christ Centered Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills Class

Learn mindfulness (like the opposite of mindlessness), interpersonal effectiveness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and more in this highly interactive class! Based in a Christian worldview*, this class is for individuals committed to an emotionally healthy life and equips them with skills to improve relationships at work, church, school, or home.

*This means a biblical framework is used as an existential foundation underlying DBT skills. Participants may agree with, be unaware of, or openly disagree with this foundation.

Here is a link to a video that talks about what DBT is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rSCBeI65aSE

This Skills Class is based on the founder of DBT’s “DBT Skills Training Handouts and Worksheets” which are provided free of charge to members. Each class integrates material in “The Skills Training Manual for Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy: A Clinician's Guide for Treating Disorders of Overcontrol” by Lynch, and handouts are provided when this material is integrated.

Time: Saturdays 10:00 - 11:30am

Cost: $40/class, scholarships available

Group Supervision

Those acquiring hours for their LAC (Licensed Addiction Counselor) and LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) can attend group supervision to fulfill some of their supervision hours. Kaley is currently compiling a waiting list of those interested in joining a supervision group and will work with those who inquire about finding a mutually agreeable time.
